Looking back, it seems incredibly simple compared with today's constant notifications—but that simplicity is exactly what makes the memory so special. Waiting for the Beep was created around that instantly recognizable feeling.

I wanted it to feel less like simply looking at an old piece of technology and more like remembering what it was like to actually use one. Before texts, social feeds, and smartphones kept everyone permanently connected, a few numbers on a tiny screen could start an entire conversation. For people who lived through the pager years, the design is a little time machine—and for anyone who loves vintage technology and throwback style, it captures a piece of communication history with personality.

That is what I want Jakobe Collexion designs to be about: creating something you connect with because it reminds you of a story, an experience, or a moment you haven't thought about in years. Waiting for the Beep celebrates the pager generation, old-school communication, and those unforgettable days when getting a message meant finding the nearest phone and figuring out who was looking for you. Sometimes the technology we leave behind becomes part of the memories we keep—and sometimes all it takes is one imaginary beep to bring them rushing back.
